Do emotions easily take over logical reasoning, and if so, why?


The obvious thing to say is ‘yes’, and in some contexts that is true. But motivation comes from emotion, and without motivation, logic has nothing to do. Rationality is not about not being non-emotional; it is about being logical about drawing strength from one’s emotions, instead of being weakened by them.
