How do I know if my religious beliefs are the right ones?

Updated: Nov 24, 2020

What matters is not whether you have 'the right' beliefs, but whether you have any beliefs.

Obviously nobody ever walked on water or came back from the dead.

Those conceits are just framing devices. What is important is whether the values that those framing-conceits help to mobilize are good ones.

And even that isn't all that important.

What's important is you believe something.

Almost all 'free-thinkers' believe nothing.

In matters of fact, it is important to believe the right thing.

In matters of value, it is enough to believe something.

Values define identity. If they need to lean on a bit of animistic projection, so be it.
