What's the difference between solipsism and cartesianism?

Cartesianism is skepticism: it is the position that, absent definitive proof to the contrary, we cannot know to what extent our sense-perceptions are accurate. The Cartesian is not convinced that his consciousness is all there is; he simply isn’t wiling to believe otherwise until he is given iron-clad proof. A solipsist is not a skeptic; a solipsist is convinced that his consciousness is all there is.
